This 1951 Ford Country Squire is one of approximately 29k such two-door “woodie” station wagons that were produced for the model year. It is originally an Iowa car that underwent a refurbishment circa 2013 and was purchased by the seller in February 2026, and work since that time included rebuilding the carburetor for the 239ci flathead V8, changing the oil and coolant, and replacing the water and fuel pumps, the ignition coil, and gaskets for the three-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in green with mahogany plywood paneling and birch trim over a tan-and-brown interior with three rows of bench seats. Equipment includes a 12-volt electrical system, 15″ steel wheels, chrome hubcaps, an external sun visor, roof racks, sliding rear side windows, a split tailgate, a rear-mounted spare, and a Magic Air heater. This Country Squire is now offered with a binder containing records and photos and a California title in the seller’s name.

The body was refinished in green under previous ownership, and mahogany wood paneling with birch trim adorns the steel-framed doors, rear quarters, and split tailgate. Exterior features include a split windshield, chrome bumpers, an external sun visor, roof racks, dual side mirrors, sliding rear side windows, and taillights that rotate to continue pointing rearward when the tailgate is lowered.

Body-color 15″ steel wheels wearing chrome hubcaps and trim rings are mounted with Coker American Classic whitewalls, and a matching spare is mounted at the rear. Suspension is handled by independent control arms with coil springs and hydraulic dampers up front, while leaf springs and angle-mounted tube shocks are employed out back. Braking is provided by unassisted four-wheel drums.

The cabin houses three rows of bench seats with tan-and-brown vinyl upholstery, wood door and trim panels with body-color painted caps, and a body-color upper dashboard. Green carpeting overlays the floorboards, and additional amenities include a Magic Air heater, a dashboard clock, and a dome light.

The third-row bench seat is removable, and the second can be folded flat to maximize carrying capacity.

A two-spoke steering wheel with a semi-circular horn ring fronts woodgrain-painted metal dashboard housing a 100-mph speedometer with fuel-level, oil-pressure, coolant-temperature, and battery-charging gauges inset around its perimeter. The five-digit odometer shows 79k miles, approximately 300 of which were driven by the seller. True mileage is unknown.

The 239ci flathead V8 breathes through an oil bath air cleaner and a rebuilt Holley 94 two-barrel carburetor. The water and fuel pumps and the ignition coil have been replaced, and the electrical system was converted to 12 volts under previous ownership. The seller notes two oil leaks, one of which appears to emanate from the pan.

Newer exhaust components were installed by a previous owner. Power is transferred to the rear wheels by way of a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission.

The car is accompanied by an owner’s manual and a binder containing historical photos along with car history and model data.

The car is titled in California using the last six digits of serial number B1DA260366.
