This 1963 Mercedes-Benz 230SL was restored in the early 1980s and acquired by the owner in 2026. It is finished in white over red leather and is powered by a 2.3-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black convertible top, a removable hardtop, power steering, 14″ steel wheels with painted covers, a Becker Europa AM/FM radio, and a heater. This W113 SL is now offered in Washington on dealer consignment with a Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC.
The W113 SL was designed by Friedrich Geiger, Béla Barényi, and Paul Bracq and was introduced to the public at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show. This car was refinished in white and features a black convertible top, a body-color removable hardtop, European-specification headlights, dual side mirrors, and a retractable antenna. A ceramic coating was recently applied to the exterior. A paint chip on the driver’s side edge of the hood is noted by the seller.
The 14″ steel wheels wear covers with painted centers and are mounted with 195/70 Michelin Defender tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in red leather that extends to the door panels. Interior appointments include a Becker Europa AM/FM radio, an analog clock, a floor-mounted gear shifter, and a heater.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames VDO instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and vertical gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 62k kilometers, approximately 80 of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.3-liter M127 inline-six features Bosch fuel injection and was rebuilt in the early 1980s. The battery and exhaust hangers were recently replaced.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
