This 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T two-door hardtop spent time in Illinois before being acquired by the current owner in 2015. The 440ci Magnum V8 subsequently was replaced, as were the exhaust system and the alternator. Finished in Bright Blue with a black vinyl-covered roof over black vinyl upholstery, the car features a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential as well as Rallye-style 15″ wheels, front disc brakes, a center console, and seatbelts. This Coronet is now offered on dealer consignment with a North Carolina title in the owner’s name.

Dodge built 8,471 examples of the Coronet R/T with a 440 V8 and an automatic transmission for 1967. This car was finished from the factory in Bright Blue (8) and has been repainted. Exterior equipment includes a black vinyl-covered roof, quad headlights, hood louvers, a driver-side mirror, R/T badging, reverse lights, bright trim, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers. Rust bubbles are noted on the lower portion of the driver door, and the vinyl top exhibits wear.

Later-model Rallye-style 15″ wheels are mounted with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires measuring 215/65 in front and 235/60 at the rear. The car was factory equipped with a Rallye suspension that included heavy-duty shocks as well as stiffer springs and torsion bars. Braking is provided by unassisted front discs and rear drums, and the steering also is unassisted.

The front bucket seats and the rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl. Appointments include a center console, bright trim, a heater/defroster, a locking glovebox, courtesy lighting, and front and rear lap belts. The AM radio does not work. Interior wear is pictured in the gallery below.

The three-spoke steering wheel has a horn ring and fronts a 150-mph horizontal speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and alternator status. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, approximately 15k of which were added under current ownership.

The 440ci Magnum V8 was replaced in 2015, according to the seller. The alternator was replaced in 2023.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission and a Sure Grip limited-slip differential. The transmission’s O-ring seal was replaced in 2020, and in 2022 the exhaust system was replaced. The seller notes an exhaust leak from the passenger-side manifold.

The fender tag indicates that the vehicle is a 1967 Coronet R/T hardtop (WS23) equipped with a high-performance 440ci V8 featuring a four-barrel carburetor (83) along with a three-speed automatic transmission (5). The tag also reveals that the car was originally finished in Bright Blue Metallic (881) over front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl (P6X). The tag conveys further information such as the R/T special body style (F3) and a scheduled build date of October 31 (A31).

Chassis number WS23L77136785 is found on the tag above. The seller tells us that the state of North Carolina required that a DMV-issued tag be applied to the vehicle because the rivets on the Chrysler Corporation tag had been replaced after a repaint. The Dodge is titled under the number shown on two matching North Carolina DMV–issued tags: NCS101816.
