This 1971 Honda CT70 Trail was reportedly refurbished in 2024 and acquired by the seller in 2025. Work by the prior owner included refinishing the bike in Candy Ruby Red, overhauling the 72cc four-stroke single, and replacing the black solo seat, twist-lock folding handlebars, sprockets, shocks, drive chain, carburetor, controls, upswept exhaust system, speedometer, chrome fenders, 10″ multi-piece wheels, and more. Shifting is through a three-speed transmission, an automatic clutch, and additional details include a kick starter, a chrome cargo rack, trail lighting, and a side stand. This CT70 is now offered at no reserve in Texas for off-road use only with a parts spreadsheet, refurbishment photos, and a bill of sale.
The hollow T-bone frame was refinished under prior ownership in Candy Ruby Red with replacement multi-colored Honda graphics. The black vinyl seat is a replacement unit, and additional details include a side stand, a chrome grab handle, a chrome cargo rack, folding foot pegs, and trail lighting. The fenders were replaced, along with assorted other components called out in the spreadsheet in the gallery. The folding foot pegs on the swingarm and chrome mirror seen in some of the photos are included in the sale.
The replacement multi-piece 10″ wheels are finished in silver and were mounted with replacement tubes and Bridgestone Trail Wing tires. Braking is from drums at both ends. The fork was overhauled, the springs are replacement units, and assorted brake and suspension components were replaced by a prior owner as outlined in the spreadsheet in the gallery.
The replacement twist-lock folding chrome handlebars carry replacement grips, levers, controls, horn button, and light switch. The replacement Nippon Seiki 50-mph speedometer displays recommended shift points. The four-digit odometer shows 133 miles, approximately five of which were ridden by the seller. The seller states the mileage is not accurate, and total mileage is unknown.
The horizontal 72cc four-stroke single is equipped with a kick starter and a replacement CHP carburetor, and a replacement upswept exhaust with perforated chrome heat shields. The engine was overhauled in the refurbishment, per the seller, and additional work included replacing the rectifier, spark plug, intake manifold, ignition coil, and more, as outlined in the spreadsheet in the gallery.
