This 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 was purchased from a relative of the original owner in 2022 and subsequently underwent a refurbishment that included repainting the exterior tan and refreshing the interior with Bestop bucket seats, an aftermarket center console, and an Alpine stereo. The truck rides on a 2.5″ Old Man Emu suspension lift and 15″ alloy wheels mounted with 33″ BFGoodrich tires over four-wheel disc brakes. The 3.9-liter F inline-six and the three-speed manual transmission were reportedly overhauled approximately 15k miles ago, and additional equipment includes a dual-range transfer case, dual side mirrors, a white roof, rear bumperettes, and a roll bar. This FJ40 is offered with refurbishment photos, records, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.

During the build, the tub was removed from the frame and body panels were replaced, and the truck was bead-blasted before it was primed and repainted tan with a white roof. Equipment includes dual side mirrors, rear bumperettes, and a rear-mounted spare tire. Photos of records documenting the refurbishment are provided in the gallery.

The 15″ five-bolt alloy wheels are mounted with 33×10.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. The truck is equipped with an Old Man Emu 2.5″ suspension lift, four-wheel disc brakes, and manually locking front hubs. The front and rear axle seals and bearings were replaced during the refurbishment along with the steering knuckle seals and bearings.

The cabin is fitted with Bestop front bucket seats, a passenger-side grab handle, a dash pad, a center storage console, and an Alpine head unit.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames replacement instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. Total mileage is unknown.

The 3.9-liter F inline-six features a two-barrel Weber carburetor, a Pertronix ignition, and tubular headers, and routes power to to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The seller reports that that the recent refurbishment involved installing a refurbished alternator and a new clutch, radiator, water pump, and starter. All of the seals and gaskets for the engine, transmission, and transfer case were also changed, per the seller.
