This 1975 BMW 2002 spent time in California and Texas and was restored circa 2020 before the seller’s acquisition on BaT in November 2025. Finished in Amazon Green over tan leather and houndstooth cloth, it is powered by a 2.0-liter M10 inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Modifications include a high-performance camshaft, a Weber carburetor, a four-into-one header, an Ireland Engineering exhaust system, revised sway bars, ST springs, Bilstein dampers, 15″ BBS wheels, Euro-style bumpers, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, Recaro front seats, and a modern stereo. Work since 2025 included changing the fluids, servicing the engine, air conditioning system, and suspension, rebuilding the shift tower, and replacing the aluminum radiator and fuel lines. This 2002 is offered with a spare dashboard, recent service records, and a Texas title in the seller’s name.

The body was refinished in Amazon Green (076) under previous ownership. Exterior details include Euro-style chrome bumpers, Marchal driving lights, bright trim, quarter vent windows, pop-out rear quarter windows, and a polished center-exit exhaust outlet. The hood and trunk seals were replaced in 2025, and close-up photos of the paint and trim can be viewed in the gallery.

The 15″ BBS wheels feature gold centers and polished lips and are mounted with Toyo Proxes R1R tires manufactured in 2021. The lowered suspension features revised sway bars, ST springs, and Bilstein dampers. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Service since 2025 included replacing the control arms and ball joints in addition to flushing the brake fluid.

The Recaro SE front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in tan leather with Relicate Baja Brown houndstooth inserts. Equipment includes air conditioning, a wood shift knob, Coco floor mats, and a retro-style stereo linked to aftermarket speakers. The shifter tower was rebuilt under current ownership, and the door panel retaining clips require replacement. The dashboard has cracks, and a replacement Euro-style one-piece dashboard is included in the sale.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,400-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles, less than 1k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The rebuilt 2.0-liter M10 inline-four is equipped with a high-performance camshaft, a Weber 38/38 downdraft carburetor, a long-tube header, and an Ireland Engineering stainless-steel exhaust system. Work under current ownership included changing the oil and coolant, installing a Sanden 709 air conditioning compressor and Ron Davis aluminum radiator, and replacing the fuel lines. The seller notes that the vacuum advance on the distributor requires service.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The transmission and differential fluids were changed in 2025, and the center support bearing for the driveshaft was replaced in 2026. The seller notes weeping fluid from the transmission, and additional underside photos are presented in the gallery.

The current Texas title carries a “Mileage Exceeds Mechanical Limits” notation in the Remarks section.
