This 1993 Nissan Safari Granroad is a right-hand-drive, high-roof example that spent its life in Japan before being imported to the United States in December 2021, and it now shows 123k kilometers (~76k miles). Power is provided by a 4.2-liter diesel inline-six linked with a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking differential. Finished in Super Black, the truck is accented by gold lower-body cladding and is equipped with a 24-volt electrical system, a remote rear sway bar disconnect, chrome brush guard, auxiliary lighting, a power sunroof, running boards, 15″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, locking front hubs, and a winch. The cabin features three rows of seating upholstered in grey cloth along with power windows, air conditioning, a carbon-fiber Nismo shift knob, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and a “Cool Box” air-conditioned storage compartment. The seller acquired the truck in 2025. This Safari Granroad is now offered in New Jersey at no reserve with service records, import documents, and a clean Montana title.
The truck left the factory in Super Black with gold lower-body cladding (6M2) and a chrome front bumper and brush guard accents the body. Equipment includes a power sunroof, a winch, auxiliary lighting, headlight wipers, running boards, window deflectors, and Nissan-branded mud flaps. A dent is visible in the center portion of the rear bumper, the front bumper shows signs of corrosion, and dents are noted around the body, photos of which are provided in the photo gallery.
Silver-finished 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with Yokohama Geolandar I/T tires, and a spare wheel fitted with a Bridgestone Desert Dueler tire is affixed to the swing-out rear door. The truck is fitted with locking front hubs, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The rear brakes were serviced with replacement pads in preparation for the sale.
The right-hand-drive cabin features front bucket seats along with second and third-row bench seats upholstered in gray cloth. Appointments include air conditioning, a carbon-fiber Nismo shift knob, a digital clock, a passenger grab handle, and power windows. A “Cool Box” air-conditioned storage compartment is housed in the cargo area. The seller notes the AM/FM/cassette stereo was repaired in preparation for the sale, and photos show warped heater vents on the dashboard.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 180-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary instruments for fuel level, battery voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 123k kilometers (~76k miles), approximately 150 of which have been added by the seller. The seller notes that the instrument cluster was removed and re-installed in October 2023 for diagnostics related to some of the auxiliary gauges, which was traced to the alternator and subsequently remediated. A remote rear sway bar disconnect handle is located underneath the dashboard on the driver’s side, and a video demonstrating its operation is provided below.
The 4.2-liter TD42 diesel inline-six drives the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking differential. The vehicle uses a 24-volt electrical system. Work in preparation for the sale included replacing the batteries, radiator fan, thermostat, and coolant.
Corrosion is visible on the various underbody components.
