This 1997 Toyota Dyna is a right-hand-drive pickup that has been fitted with a remote-operated UNIC crane, and it was imported to the US before being acquired by the seller on BaT in December 2025. Finished in white and red over gray upholstery, the truck is powered by a 2.8-liter diesel inline-four linked with a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a selectable four-wheel-drive system. It also has a deployable outrigger, a headache rack, a fold-down tailgate and bedsides, locking front hubs, black-finished 15″ steel wheels, air conditioning, and a Pioneer stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. Work under current ownership included replacing the timing belt, servicing the cooling system, and changing the bed floor, rubber tailgate and bedside bumpers, and tires as well as applying spray-on bedliner material to the frame and the interior of the bed. Now showing 188k kilometers (~117k miles), this Dyna is offered at no reserve with service records and a North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The truck left the factory finished in white, and the lower sections have been refinished in red. Details include a fold-down tailgate and bedsides with replacement rubber bumpers as well as a left convex mirror, mud flaps, and a headache rack. The seller tells us that Rhino Liner spray-on bedliner material has been applied to the inner sides of the bed, and 2×8″ pressure-treated boards have been fitted to the bed floor. Corrosion is visible near the left side step.
The bed-mounted UNIC crane has a remote controller, and a video of its operation is provided in the gallery. The truck has an outrigger that can be deployed on either side, and an idle adjuster for use while the crane is being operated is located in the cab.
Steel 15″ wheels were refinished in black and mounted with Accelera Omikron A/T tires under current ownership. A spare is secured to an under-chassis carrier.
The driver’s seat and the passenger bench seat are upholstered in gray striped cloth with vinyl trim. Appointments includes air conditioning, a digital clock, and a Pioneer multimedia stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. The left-side air vent is broken.
The steering wheel frames a 160-km/h speedometer as well as a tachometer with inset gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 188k kilometers (~117k miles), approximately 7k of which were added under current ownership. Discoloration is visible around the odometer and trip meter, and stickers indicating speeds in miles-per-hour have been applied to the gauge cluster lens.
The 2.8-liter diesel inline-four can be accessed through a panel beneath the passenger seat. Service in April 2026 included replacing the timing belt and its tensioner as well as the water pump, thermostat, radiator, and coolant hoses.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a selectable four-wheel-drive system. The seller notes that Rhino Liner spray-on bedliner material has been applied to the frame, and additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery below.
