Most parents aim for their kids' names to have meaning, sound beautiful to their ears, and not be so crazy that the name might ruin their kids' future lives. And even though there are quite literally millions of names that fit the bill, young parents are still struggling to choose one. Sure, you can go with an ordinary name like 'David' or 'Emily' and be done with it, but when you want the name to mean something to you personally, these easy choices become a lot harder.
Every parent out there who has also spent the majority of their single life at conventions or fan events will also tell you that it is very tempting to name your child after your favorite character. When a piece of media gives you so much joy and purpose as a young fella, you can't help but want to honor it, and what better honor is there than your first-born child?

Every fandom has so many options to choose from, and every fan has at least one character who is truly close to their heart. Some creative answers to this fantastic query were given by Pokémon fans who obviously have given this question some thought in the past.
