When one of our favourite shows gets cancelled, we suddenly feel like our soul drops to our feet. We are stunned. We are shocked. We can't believe that a show that had left us on a cliffhanger, or with a tremendous plot twist, suddenly won't be coming back. This has happened to many of us an absurd number of times, and it's not funny anymore. Uncle Netflix, consider this our official plea for you to stop cancelling shows with a lot of potential.
These things don't always make sense to me. What does it mean that you cancelled a show because there was no budget, but you still managed to give us THREE Kissing Booth movies, like 3 hours long, and that even the actors hated filming? Where does the budget go? Why don't you stop making bad, trashy movies and invest in quality productions with interesting plots and scripts that make sense?
On that note, one of the cancellations that hurt me the most was Shadow and Bone. That show was even better written than the books; the actors were amazing, and the visuals were beautiful. They were even talking about a spin-off when they chose to cancel it. It was ridiculous. Another big one was Anne with an E. We're still waiting for that last season that never came. The show was popular, good quality, had a strong fanbase, and it was praised everywhere. Whatever made them think that it was better to have it cancelled?
Like always, Uncle Netflix conducts himself with criteria that we hardly understand. Let's just hope that this stops happening, and that everyone in the production team stops breaking our hearts. While we expect that to come true, take a look at this list of shows. They were cancelled, yes, but they are still worth the watch.
