This 2000 Ducati 996 SPS was purchased by the seller in 2014 and has been fitted with a carbon-fiber rear fender, chain guard, clutch cover, license plate mount, and air intake runners. It is finished in red with white accents and is powered by a 996cc desmodromic L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission. The bike is further equipped with five-spoke 17″ Marchesini wheels, Marelli fuel injection, a carbon-fiber front fender, adjustable Öhlins suspension, a single-sided aluminum swingarm, triple disc brakes with Brembo calipers, and a Termignoni exhaust system with carbon-fiber mufflers as well as a monoposto tail section with a black vinyl solo seat. This 996 SPS is now offered with partial service records, a rear axle stand, two keys, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The fully faired bodywork is finished in red with a white-accented monoposto tail section and mounted over a trellis frame. Features include dual headlamps, an integrated windscreen, a carbon-fiber front fender, a black vinyl solo seat, and fairing-mounted mirrors in addition to a side stand, rear-set foot controls, a 4.5-gallon fuel tank, and a carbon-fiber rear fender, chain guard, clutch cover, license plate mount, and air intake runners. Paint chips on the bike are noted by the seller, who notes fading in the finish on the rear fender, chain guard, and tank pad.

The gray-finished 17″ five-spoke Marchesini wheels wear Michelin tires that are said to require replacement due to age. Suspension consists of an inverted 43mm Öhlins fork as well as a piggyback Öhlins monoshock mounted to the single-sided aluminum swingarm. Braking is from gold-finished Brembo calipers mounted over a pair of drilled rotors up front in addition to a single Brembo caliper and drilled rotor at the rear. The clutch and front brake reservoirs were replaced under current ownership.

Clip-on handlebars are secured beneath an upper triple clamp that anchors a hydraulic steering damper, which is attached to the right side of the frame. Instrumentation consists of a 180-mph speedometer, a 13k-rpm tachometer, and a coolant temperature gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 13k miles, approximately 1,300 of which have been ridden under current ownership.

The top triple clamp bears a serialized plaque listing the bike as #1,338 of 996 SPS units produced.

The liquid-cooled 996cc L-twin features a carbon-fiber airbox with an MWR foam filter, Marelli fuel injection, four desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder, and a Termignoni exhaust system with a pair of carbon-fiber mufflers that exit beneath the tailpiece. Factory-rated output was 123 horsepower and 73 lb-ft of torque. The battery and battery cables were replaced in 2025, and the seller states the bike is due for a timing belt service.

Power is routed to the rear wheel through a multi-plate dry clutch, a six-speed transmission, and a drive chain. The sprag clutch was replaced in May 2024.

Partial service records, a rear axle stand, and two keys are included in the sale.
