Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has urged President Bola Tinubu to step down, citing Nigeria’s worsening economic hardship.
In a video posted online, Dokubo, singing a war song and brandishing a sword declared in Pidgin English: “Tinubu, na me dey tell you, you no go fit fight. Tinubu surrender. The country too hard. We dey vex. Fuel, everything is too expensive. We’re hungry and this must stop.”
His remarks drew a sharp response from entertainer Charly Boy, popularly known as the Area Father. Reposting the clip on X, Charly Boy mocked Dokubo, suggesting his outcry was linked to unmet expectations from the presidency: “Asari say make Tinubu surrender. Say country too hard. Bulaba never renew him subscription.”
