This 1954 Triumph TR2 is a long-door example that is said to have remained under the care of one family before it was purchased by the seller in 2002. Work since then has included a repaint in black and the addition of blackberry leather upholstery, as well as an overhaul of the suspension and replacement of brake components. Power is provided by a 1,991cc inline-four linked with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with a Sunfast Redberry top boot, a detachable one-piece windscreen, 15″ wire wheels, and a banjo-style steering wheel. This TR2 is now offered with spare parts and New York registration.
The car was refinished in black in 2002 and features a detachable one-piece windscreen and a chrome grille. The seller notes that the car is an earlier production model with the windshield wipers spaced 10.5″ apart. A Sunfast Redberry hoodstick cover is currently installed using Tenax fasteners, and a pair of soft tops will also accompany the car. A Sunfast Redberry top sourced from The Roadster Factory has a hole in it, and a white soft top, which the seller states is unusable. Both are pictured in the gallery below.
Wire-spoke 15″ wheels are secured by chrome two-eared knock-off hubs and are mounted with Starfire Sport Metric tires that were installed in 2002. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners. The front wheel cylinders were replaced in 2023, and suspension components were replaced between 2015 and 2016.
The cabin was refreshed in 2015 using Blackberry leather upholstery, which the seller notes was sourced from John Skinner Ltd. Black carpets line the floors, and the cabin has door pockets and a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror.
The banjo-style steering wheel fronts a leather-trimmed dash housing a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, and centrally mounted auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership.
The 1,991cc OHV inline-four was factory equipped with dual SU carburetors and was rated at 90 horsepower and 117 lb-ft of torque when new. A Toyota-sourced starter has been installed, and the battery was replaced in 2026.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The vehicle is being sold on its transferable New York registration, which serves as an ownership document in New York.
