These cats have discovered the joy of a good book, or at least the joy of sitting very close to one. Some are staring at the pages like they're following every word, while others look like they're one chapter away from earning a degree. We'd love to know what they're reading.
Maybe the orange cats are looking for instructions on how to get their turn with the brain cell. The black cats could be getting an early start on spooky stories, and the kittens are probably still working their way through the picture books. Everyone has to start somewhere.
Of course, reading with a cat around isn't always easy. The second you open a book, they want to know why it's getting more attention than they are. First comes a paw on the corner of the page. Then a head pops up directly in front of the paragraph you're reading. Give it another minute and the whole cat is lying across the book.
Some cats skip all of that and go straight for chewing the corners. Apparently, every good book needs a few teeth marks along the cover.
Still, we have to give these kitties credit for looking so studious. A few of them seem like they could spend all afternoon in the library, as long as snacks and naps are allowed. We're sure they'd have some strong opinions at book club too.
The best part about a feline reading buddy is that they're always down for a quiet afternoon on the couch. They won't rush you through a chapter, and they definitely won't spoil the ending. They might steal your spot the second you get up, but that comes with the territory.
