When you're sad - your cat will come over to comfort you. They sit on your lap like it's their purrsonal throne, and start purring away the sadness. It's hard to remain sad when such a cute show of love is happening right on your lap.
When you're angry - your cat will come to calm you down. It's hard to stay mad at whatever it is when you see your cat around the corner. They might stare as if they don't understand, but a single soft "meow" can regulate our nervous system and reset it to its normal state again.
When you're anxious - your cat will come to ground you. They demand treats, they want to be petted, or they just require you to be their bed so they put their entire body weight on you. They keep you here, in the present. Caring for cats is so important for us as well.
