This 1967 Ford Mustang C-code 289 convertible was acquired by the seller in 1992, and over the last two years it was refurbished in the style of a GT350. The build includes a Shelby-style fiberglass hood, side scoops, trunk lid, and quarter extensions, along with a pop-open gas cap, a curved Monte Carlo bar, 1968 Cyclone front disc brakes, new leaf springs and shocks, and a complete dual exhaust system. The interior was reupholstered with new carpet and a replacement dash pad and trim, and it further features a black convertible soft top, GT-style 14″ steel wheels, and a Custom Autosound AM/FM radio. This Mustang is now offered with spare parts and an Indiana title in the seller’s name.
The seller notes the floors, inner rockers, most sections of frame rails, one door skin, and both quarter panels were replaced around 40 years ago. The body received a repaint in March 2026 along with replacement of GT350-style body panels, front fender aprons, both bumpers, grille molding, taillight molding, back-up lights, door handles, side mirror, weatherstripping, and top boot. The original hood and trunk are included. The soft top and rear window were replaced in September 2026.
GT-style 14″ steel wheels are mounted with Hankook Kinergy tires measuring 205/75. Braking is handled by 1968 Cyclone front disc brakes and rear drums. The suspension received new leaf springs and front shocks, and a curved Monte Carlo bar is fitted. The parking brake is inoperative and requires rear cables.
Interior work performed in 2026 included reupholstery work, new carpet, and a replacement dash pad and trim. A Custom Autosound radio and speakers in the kick panels are fitted along with a center armrest for the split bench. One rear seat belt is reported to be defective.
The Shelby-style steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and now indicates 60k miles, with approximately 5,000 miles added under current ownership. An updated instrument bezel is fitted.
The 289ci Challenger V8 was rebuilt in the 1980s, with the seller estimating approximately 10k miles since the rebuild. The previous owner installed a performance camshaft, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, and Carter four-barrel carburetor. Work in 2026 consisted of gasket and seal replacement rather than an engine rebuild. Additional replacement components installed during the refurbishment include valve covers, intake gaskets, oil pan, hoses, belts, thermostat and gaskets, heater core, battery, solenoid, alternator, regulator, spark plugs, wires, points, and condenser.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain received a new transmission pan, output seal, and universal joints, and a dual exhaust system with Xlerator mufflers was installed. The fuel system was also renewed with a new gas tank, lines, and sending unit. The current restoration included replacement of additional frame sections and torque boxes.
The title describes the car as a 1967 Ford NA and lists the odometer as Exempt.
