This 2001 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra coupe has spent the last 22 years with the seller, and it is finished in Ebony Clearcoat over Dark Charcoal leather. The car is powered by a 4.6-liter DOHC V8 linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It has been modified with 17″ Torq Thrust-style wheels, a lowered suspension, Eibach springs, a B&N short shifter, a MagnaFlow exhaust, a BBK Performance cold air intake, and an aftermarket tuning chip and upper pulley as well as a JL Audio amplifier and a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer and capacitor. This SVT Cobra coupe now has 43k miles and is offered with the owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Nebraska title in the seller’s name.
The Cobra was distinguished from the contemporary SN95 Mustang by circular front fog lights, tri-color taillights, and a revised front fascia and vented hood. This example is finished in Ebony Clearcoat (UA), and additional equipment includes a rear spoiler, black-surround headlights, dual polished exhaust outlets, and SVT and Cobra badging. Close-up photos of the paint and trim condition are viewable in the gallery below.
The chrome 17″ Torq Thrust-style wheels are mounted with Dunlop tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with Cobra-branded calipers up front. The suspension has been modified with Eibach springs and a 2″ reduction in ride height, per the seller. The front brake rotors and pads are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features articulated front sport seats trimmed in Dark Charcoal leather with microsuede inserts and Cobra emblems embroidered into the backrests. Equipment includes a power-adjustable driver’s seat, remote keyless entry, cruise control, air conditioning, and power accessories. The stereo features a six-disc CD changer and is linked to a trunk-mounted Rockford Fosgate subwoofer and capacitor as well as a JL Audio amplifier. The seller notes a B&N short-throw shifter has been installed.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames white instrument dials including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 43k miles.
The 4.6-liter DOHC V8 was factory rated at 320 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Modifications include a BBK Performance cold air intake as well as an aftermarket ECU tuning chip and upper pulley. According to the seller, the water pump was replaced in 2023, and an oil change was completed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T-45 five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The dual exhaust system features an H-pipe and a 3″ MagnaFlow system.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other damage.
