This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was given as a gift to the seller’s father-in-law from his father upon returning home from Vietnam in 1968, and it has remained with the family in the time since. Its 327ci V8 features an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Weber carburetor, and Mickey Thompson valve covers and is paired with a four-speed transmission. Finished in red over red vinyl, the car also has an under-dash eight-track radio system, Jensen speakers, a color-matched removable hard top, a black convertible soft top, 15″ wheels, and power windows. This C2 convertible is now offered by the seller with a clean Ohio title in the name of the seller’s mother-in-law.

The fiberglass body is finished in red and features a removable hardtop and a black convertible soft top as well as flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance. The seller notes a tear on the right side of the soft top and scratches in the paint.

Steel 15” wheels feature three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps and are mounted with 205/70 Dean Alpha whitewall tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.

The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in red vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. The car features an under-dash eight-track radio system paired with Jensen speakers in the rear cargo area as well as an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, power windows, and lap belts.

The three-spoke red-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles.

The 327ci V8 features an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Weber carburetor, and Mickey Thompson valve covers. The heater hoses have been disconnected.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The seller notes rust on the frame and exhaust system.
