This 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo was offered on BaT in May 2024 before it was acquired by the current owner later that year, and it now shows 9k miles. Subsequent work is said to have included a paint correction, installing full-body paint protection film, adding a Porsche Classic stereo head unit, and fitting Fabspeed Supercup exhaust components. Finished in Guards Red over black leather, the car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six that drives all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. It has a fixed rear spoiler, 18″ twist-spoke wheels, power-adjustable front seats, a remote CD changer, and automatic climate control. This 993 Turbo is now offered on dealer consignment with owner’s manuals, a Porsche Production Specifications sheet, a tool kit, factory exhaust components, a portable air compressor, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a New York title.
The 993 Turbo featured wider bodywork, revised bumper covers, and a fixed rear spoiler to accommodate top-mount intercoolers when compared with the standard 993 coupe. This example is finished in Guards Red (L84A) and has headlight washers, integrated fog lights, a sunroof, a rear window wiper, and polished exhaust outlets. Under previous ownership, the front bumper cover was removed and the A/C condenser and oil cooler were cleaned. The selling dealer tells us that a paint correction was performed under current ownership before a full-body paint protection film was applied.
The 18″ twist-spoke wheels are mounted with staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The car features an Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and the 993 was the first 911 to feature multi-link rear suspension. Braking is provided by Porsche-branded four-piston calipers over cross-drilled rotors. Work in March 2024 at Patrick Motorsports of Phoenix, Arizona, included replacement of the left-front sway bar end link and the rear toe links.
The seats are trimmed in black leather, which extends to the door panels, dashboard, and center console. A Porsche Classic stereo head unit with Apple CarPlay connectivity was installed under current ownership, and additional appointments include power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, a remote CD changer, and automatic climate control. The air conditioning system was recharged in August 2022. The driver’s seat backrest trim and upper door end cap trim were replaced in 2024, along with the hood shocks and cabin air filter.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, an analog Quarz clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 9k miles, fewer than 200 of which were added under current ownership.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six was factory equipped with Bosch Motronic fuel injection and was rated at 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque when new. Corrosion in the battery box was repaired in March 2024, and additional work at that time by Patrick Motorsports totaling approximately $13,695 included replacement of the oil return lines, accessory belts, spark plugs, distributor rotor, ignition wires, fuel filter, and intake hoses. The oil was most recently changed in July 2025.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. A Fabspeed Supercup exhaust system was sourced and installed in 2024. Additional photos of the underside are viewable in the gallery.
