Like many dads, former Springbok captain Victor Matfield had an emotional moment when he took his daughter to prom.

The 49-year-old is a girl-dad to three daughters – Jaime, Giselle, and Tasmin – with wife Monja.

VICTOR MATFIELD TAKES DAUGHTER TO PROM

On his Instagram account, Victor Matfield posted pictures of his second-born, Giselle, getting ready to go to prom.

The petite blonde – a grade 11 learner at Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool in Pretoria – wore a sparkling sequined blue gown

“How pretty is this beautiful girl of mine!”, Victor gushed over his teen.

The former Springbok captain is no doubt feeling emotional after posting a throwback with his daughters just days earlier.

“Time flies”, he captioned the post.

PROUD GIRL-DAD

Despite initially hoping for a son, Victor Matfield is proud to have raised his three daughters.

Speaking on the SA Rugby podcast in 2020, the now-49-year-old opened up about his life as a girl dad.

He said, “I must say I enjoy my girls. It’s great.  When me and Monja fight, they are always on my side.

“They are very involved in sports as well, so I get involved with their training.”

He isn’t the only Bok girl-dad; others include the likes of Eben Etzebeth, Faf de Klerk, Bongi Mbonambi and others.
