Ancient Roman pottery discovered in shipwreck off Sicilian coast – video

Italy's Carabinieri cultural protection unit has discovered the wreck of a Roman ship off Sicily. Divers found hundreds of amphorae and parts of anchors inside the vessel, which was located about 3 miles off the coast of Mazara del Vallo. Sicily, colonised by the ancient Greeks from around the eighth century BC, and conquered by the Romans in about 240BC, was an important centre of trade in the ancient world
