Launching in the United States on September 14, the plan removes the device limit and single-account restriction built into AppleCare One Individual. Families with enough Apple hardware could save money, although $599.88 per year is still a substantial starting price for device protection.
The existing AppleCare One Individual plan costs $19.99 per month for three products. Each additional device tied to the same Apple Account costs another $5.99 per month.
The single-account restriction generally forced family members onto separate AppleCare One or AppleCare+ plans. Family Sharing didn't change that requirement.
