Following Asa Germann‘s casting in the X-Men reboot, fans are now calling for two more mutants in the MCU. The Gen V star has been cast as Angel, one of the team’s founding members in the comics.

The casting update that came from The Hollywood Reporter has most fans pleased. Some fans are now calling for two more mutants to join the team: Iceman and Beast

As @PmillieMovies wrote on X, “They’re building the perfect X-Men lineup. Now we just need Beast and Iceman.” @TheREAL_DTEB echoed similar thoughts, writing, “All we need is Beast and Iceman.”

Meanwhile, other fans started speculating about more casting news. As @spideytorch04 tweeted, “Ok so that means Iceman is also gonna be announced soon!!” @Marvelo9p followed suit, writing, “Now who’s playing Iceman?” @RoyalJames added to the speculation, posting, “They do need to cast an 18-20 year old for Iceman and I’m so serious about that.”

While official confirmation of these two characters is highly anticipated, Marvel has already announced seven major cast members for the upcoming X-Men reboot.

As talented as he is, Germann is best known for his Gen V role as Sam Riordan. He played the troubled, super-powered character across two seasons of The Boys spinoff before reprising the role in The Boys Season 4. His performance also received praise from critics.

Germann also played Lucas Bowden in Scream 7 and was part of Netflix’s Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. Now he has joined the upcoming “perfect X-Men lineup” in Marvel as well.

Germann is set to play Angel in Marvel’s upcoming Untitled Marvel X-Men film. The character was introduced in the first issue of X-Men in 1963. Angel is a mutant with large, feathered wings that allow him to fly.

The untitled X-Men film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2028.
