During that entire time, her husband has taken their 7-year-old son to school on Fridays. His schedule has recently changed because he now has a new job, but his shift doesn't begin until 9… This made him responsible for taking their son to school on Fridays.
He forgot about school drop-off and went to work like any other day, leaving his son at home alone. The working mom found out about this when the school sent her an absence alert. Naturally, she panicked, and a lot of things came to her mind, except that the father had forgotten to take him to school. The worst of it all is that when she confronted him, the father's only argument for leaving his son alone all morning was, "Why didn't you remind me of this?"
