Barcelona star sparks anger with response to boos from Sevilla fans

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal was at the heart of a heated exchange involving several Sevilla players during this evening’s meeting between the two clubs.

This came owing to the youngster’s response to harsh treatment on the part of the home crowd.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action on the La Liga front. Fresh off six wins from six to open the defence of their crown, Hansi Flick and co. have made the trip to Andalusia to lock horns with Sevilla.

The aforementioned Lamine Yamal was in from the off for the fixture, and has since played a leading role.

As alluded to above, though, it was not his actions with the ball at his feet which turned heads at one point during the first-half at The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. Instead, it was the 19-year-old’s hand gestures.

After being targeted with a heavy round of jeers, boos and whistles on the part of the home crowd, Lamine responded by calling for more from the Sevilla faithful.

This did not go down at all well with the hosts’ players, several of whom made a beeline for Barca’s young winger, evidently feeling as though Lamine was behaving in a disrespectful manner:
