Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said receiver Ja'Marr Chase is in concussion protocol after leaving the team's NFL Week 4 loss to Jacksonville during the second quarter and not returning to the game.

Chase's status isn't known for the Bengals' Week 5 game against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium. Taylor said he's considered "day to day," but could be in concussion protocol for most or all of the week.

Chase went to the locker room for evaluation for a concussion, and the Bengals announced his return as questionable. As the second half started, the Bengals ruled out Chase's return.

After a four-yard catch from quarterback Joe Burrow, Chase had his facemask grabbed by Jaguars defensive back Jarrian Jones. Chase went to the ground and took a big hit from linebacker Ventrell Miller.

Jones drew a 15-yard penalty. Miller was not penalized. CBS analyst Robert Turbin said he couldn't believe Miller didn't draw a flag.

"I'm still really shocked there was no foul called on that play leading with the crown of his helmet," Turbin said early in the third quarter of the broadcast.

Near the end of the first half, Turbin and play-by-play announcer Tom McCarthy said they were surprised Jones wasn't penalized for pass interference on a long pass attempt from Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow to receiver Tee Higgins, who was injured later in the game.

"Who Dey," Chase tweeted during the second half.

During the week, Chase had nothing to say when asked about Jags defensive back/receiver Travis Hunter's growth from his rookie season to his second season.

Chase said he wants fans to yell "BLURRRRRRRR" when he makes a play, along the same lines as the "TEEEEEEEE!" they scream when Higgins does.

In August, Chase walked off the field under his own power following an injury during training camp practice.
