I've never been to a wedding where choosing the colour of your outfit was such a big deal. Maybe it's because the people around me are more chill, but when I read this story, I couldn't believe my eyes. I can't imagine getting into an argument with one of my friends because of the dress that I picked for her wedding… What type of friendship even is that one? Anyway, let me explain what happened with these two women.
A bride decided to share the colour palette and the dress code with all of her guests, and one of them was her friend, who's not only having to buy a dress that fits that criteria, but also has to book hotels and flights to make it to the ceremony. That's not the biggest deal in the world: clearly, she decided to attend the wedding, so this was money that have to be spent.
Now, the wedding photographer suggested the bride that there were too many different colours, and that it would look better on pictures, if people dressed in sage or dusty blue. Those two only. Want to guess the colour of her friend's dress? PEACH! Clearly, that's not going to work. The guest ask the bride is putting a sage cardigan would be okay, and the bride totally roasted her. She claimed that wearing that made it seem like she didn't care, and that if she really cares for her and wants to go, she should buy a new one.
Listen, I'm not going to be the one telling people who should be friends with her, but this attitude is a no-no for me. She sent pictures of the dress to the bride, she approved it, and now is claiming that is not a good fit and that she should get a new one. And now the guest is debating whether to attend the wedding or not because of that silly thing.
This problem is outrageous, to say the least. What would you do in this case?
