If you're golfing in Estes Park, Colorado this time of year on the territory belonging to a bull elk nicknamed "Smash," do not let up on the accelerator pedal of your golf cart.
He's not much of a fan of vehicles in general and will give chase if you're too close for comfort. Over the last several days of what is the middle of elk rutting season, he's been out making his presence known.
Last week Smash put his head down and attempted to live up to his name by charging at the side of a maintenance truck.

He then set his sights on a golf cart in a video captured by Good Bull Guided and captioned, "Smash was at it again tonight! He takes being a golf hazard pretty seriously!"
He's a fan favorite and can be heard being cheered on by those capturing the video. Nothing says fun in Estes Park, Colorado quite like a bull elk chasing anything with wheels.

For anyone questioning either the elk's nickname or his frustration with vehicles, these were not just recent occurrences.
Smash has chased golf carts off before, and even caught one with a quick smack from his antlers around this time last year.
If you have to test your luck in a golf cart near him, I'd keep it moving. Don't even think about applying the brakes until you're sure he's given up.
You've been thoroughly warned by Good Bull Guided, "Anything on wheels better watch out for Smash!" That bull elk doesn’t appear to be playing around.
His antlers are locked and loaded this time of year. If he has to use them on other bull elk, maintenance trucks or even golf carts, he will.
