We'll just come out and say it: camping is not for everybody, and we understand that. We love the forest, the smell of pine trees, the silence, the fresh air, and the million stars we can see at night without the city lights interfering. Still, we know there are a few downsides for some people: mosquitoes, the cold, sleeping on the floor, the possibility of encountering a bear… Yeah, they make a few valid points.
Even so, if you plan it well, you can have wonderful experiences while camping! Make sure you take a lot of bug spray, sunscreen, bottles of water, and this is a crucial part: make your tent is waterproof. Yes, it may rain out there, and we don't want to end up with a soaked sleeping bag.
You know what works really well to get rid of mosquitoes? Building a fire. Be honest, there's a good chance you'll forget about the bug spray anyway, so keep this in mind. Mosquitoes don't like fire or smoke, and besides scaring them away, you can stay warm and cook your dinner. If you take a mini fridge with you, you can put everything you need inside it and prepare a small and simple meal. Or just take canned food; it's definitely easier. But don't forget the marshmallows! One of the best things about camping is roasting marshmallows by the fire and taking turns to tell tales to each other. It's the perfect moment to dust off your old ghost stories. The dark and mysterious environment of the forest will surely make it come alive. But not too alive… We don't want to have to run around the forest at 2 AM trying to escape a ghost. That never ends well; we've all seen horror movies, and we're not in the mood for all that 'final girl' thing. Make it scary, but in a fun way.
Anyway, we are sure that there's a right way of camping for everybody. Some might want to get lost in the wild, while others mightwhat we like glamping better. Either way, what we all are definitely going to like is camping memes! They make us laugh and remember our last camping trip with joy.
