Disney+‘s Coven Academy has recently dropped a brand new trailer. The show’s plot revolves around a magical world, which is quite similar to that of HBO‘s upcoming Harry Potter TV series.
Coven Academy, which is scheduled for an October 1, 2026 premiere, has given fans the first look at the series. The trailer generated quite the hype. It received 1300+ likes and more than 11k+ views on YouTube within an hour.
Much like Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger, Coven Academy, too, follows the story of three witches in their teens. As they navigate through several complications, these witches must come together to protect their city from ancient forces.
The summary of the series, per Rotten Tomatoes, reads, “In the haunted heart of New Orleans, three teenage witches and their warlock peers attend an elite magic boarding school where power is currency, secrets are lethal and attraction is a liability.”

What do we see in the new Coven Academy trailer?Disney+’s Coven Academy trailer opens with Malina Pauli Weissman, who is playing the character of Briar, arriving at Crescent Veil Academy.
While entering, she announces, “I don’t plan on staying long.” The 2-minute 4-second preview of the comedy-drama series then moves forward to give the audience a better idea about the plot and the characters.
Briar has recently discovered that she is a witch. The trailer reveals that she is still learning to fully control her magical powers, and this invites problems for her.
The Coven Academy trailer also hints at a possible love triangle involving Briar, Jake, portrayed by Malachi Barton, and Ollie, played by Louis Thresher. Olivia Rodrigo’s song Brutal has been used as the background score for the trailer. The trailer also introduces two other witches, Tegan and Sasha, played by Ora Duplass and Jordan Leftwich.
The cast of Coven Academy also features Lucia Morris, Tiffani Thiessen, Saylor McPherson, Everett Andres, Mia Parsonage, Harlequin Nott, Brian Bailey, Nyx Debogorski, and others.
