Dallas Cowboys safety Julius Wood left Saturday night’s game against the Arizona Cardinals early. It was revealed that he was being evaluated for a concussion, and soon after it was reported that he was ruled out of the game as a result.

Looks like Cowboys S Julius Wood just went through a concussion protocol and did not pass. He's being escorted to the locker room.

Wood has been one of the impressive players deeper down the Cowboys roster. He has been playing so well that many people want to see him on the final 53-man roster, even though it is a pretty stacked position on the roster. It goes without saying that the most important thing is his health and wellness so hopefully there is a positive update here in the near future.

Just to be clear as the wording in this post doesn’t indicate, Wood was ruled out of the game. The broadcast even noted it. The message in question came just as the fourth quarter was beginning and while the Cowboys defense was still on the field.
