Gauteng can expect a fine day. SAWS forecasts a high of 27°C and a low of 10°C in Pretoria/Tshwane, with 0% rain probability and 0mm of rain expected.
Skies start out mostly clear and turn fully clear by the afternoon. Winds stay light, shifting from an east-north-easterly direction overnight to a north-westerly direction by evening.

According to SAWS, fine and dry conditions dominate most of the countryMpumalanga and Limpopo both start partly cloudy before clearing to fine and cool to warm conditions.
North West stays fine and warm.
Free State and Northern Cape see fine, cool to warm days, though the Northern Cape’s coast can expect moderate to fresh south-easterly winds.
Western Cape starts with morning fog over the southern interior before turning fine and cool to warm, staying partly cloudy along the south coast and hot over the West Coast District, with a very high UVB sunburn index.
Eastern Cape‘s western half stays fine and cool, with light, variable coastal winds.
KwaZulu-Natal clears from morning fog to fine and cool to warm conditions, also carrying a very high UVB sunburn index.
None of these provinces are carrying SAWS warnings for Monday, keeping the settled pattern intact nationwide.

The dry spell that’s held for most of the week shows no signs of breaking on Monday. The interior stays largely rain-free.
SAWS’s 7-day outlook shows this mild, dry pattern holding through Tuesday and Wednesday.
Rain then moves in by Thursday, 27 August, marking the outlook’s first appearance of rain in over a week.
It’s hectic how quickly a dry stretch like this can turn. I’ll be watching closely to see whether that Thursday system holds or shifts earlier.
