Daniel Suárez will continue driving for Spire Motorsports after signing a contract extension that keeps him with the organization through the 2027 NASCAR Cup Series season. The agreement provides stability for Suárez and the No. 7 Chevrolet team as they look to build on their progress together.

Suárez joined Spire ahead of the 2026 season after spending five years with Trackhouse Racing. The move gave him a fresh opportunity with an organization continuing to grow its presence in NASCAR’s top series.

Now, with his future secured through 2027, Suárez can focus on competing for victories and helping Spire establish itself as a consistent contender.

A Strong First Season Together

Suárez has given Spire plenty of reasons to believe the partnership can succeed. One of the biggest highlights of the 2026 campaign came when he won the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The victory was a major achievement for Suárez, who entered the season looking to get back into Victory Lane after a challenging final year at Trackhouse. Winning one of NASCAR’s most prestigious races also demonstrated the potential of the No. 7 team.

Suárez has worked closely with crew chief Ryan Sparks to improve the team’s performance and build stronger communication throughout race weekends. Their developing relationship has been an important part of the group’s progress.

The extension gives the driver and crew chief additional time to continue developing their program without uncertainty surrounding Suárez’s future.

Spire Continues Building for the Future

Keeping Suárez through 2027 is another important step for Spire Motorsports as it continues strengthening its Cup Series operation.

The organization fields three full-time Cup Series teams, with Suárez joined by Michael McDowell and Carson Hocevar. Maintaining stability across its lineup can help Spire continue developing its equipment, sharing information and improving its overall competitiveness.

Suárez also brings valuable experience to the organization, having won multiple Cup Series races and competed at NASCAR’s highest level for several seasons.

What Comes Next?

With his contract extended through 2027, Suárez can turn his attention toward the remainder of the season and the challenges ahead.

The goal now is to build on the success of 2026, contend for more victories and continue helping Spire Motorsports take the next step. The extension gives both sides a chance to keep building something special together.
