Just when Stephanie’s character couldn’t be more insensitive, she will find a way.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-24-26 say that while Abe and Roman are planning a memorial for Lexie, Stephanie will again turn to Theo because she’s angry at Alex.

Theo is grieving, and it’s complicated — but how likely is it that this will end up with Stephanie and Theo in bed because of her selfish desire for attention?

(Peacock/Screenshot) Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 8-24-26 Include The Aftermath of Lexie’s Death

Lexie’s death is devastating for Theo and Abe, although narratively, this entire story seems like a waste of screen time.

One of my pet soap opera peeves is when characters return from the dead, only to die again within weeks or months.

  • Fightland Season 1 Episode 4 Review: “Protect Yourself at All Times” Raises the Emotional Stakesby Tarcia Bush
  • Silo Season 3 Episode 8 Delivers a Powerful Stab to the Heartby Alexandria Ingham

Lexie’s death was almost as pointless as Bo’s (which is probably part of why Bo was resurrected again).

At least this time around, it wasn’t two weeks after her miraculous return to life, and the scenario did give Nikki Crawford some meaty material, but it still doesn’t make sense to resurrect a legacy character only for her to die within months.

In any case, Theo is likely to take Lexie’s new death very hard.

Theo was struggling with his anger toward EJ and Johnny before Lexie died. He felt that they should have told him where his mother was, and couldn’t accept that it was Lexie’s dying wish to await the end alone.

Lexie explained the truth before she died, but now she’s not here to comfort Theo or rein him in if he gets too far into grudge-holding territory.

That makes it unlikely that Theo will be thinking clearly for a while. He should be spending time with his family and friends so they can support him, and extra sessions with Marlena won’t hurt either.

But Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-24-26 say that Stephanie will turn to Theo on the same day that Abe and Roman discuss how to best honor Lexie’s memory.

Is it just me, or does this scenario cross ethical boundaries — again?

I haven’t been happy with Stephanie in a while. Her PTSD/domestic violence history story started out strong, but then it devolved into her using her mental health issues as excuses for behaving however she felt like.

She’s been throwing tantrums about Alex choosing the safety of his daughter and his daughter’s mother over being alone with her, and her paranoid accusations against Joy don’t help anything either.

To be fair, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-24-26 don’t say that Stephanie and Theo will sleep together, but I’ve watched this show all my life, so I recognize the most likely pattern.

Way too often, characters jump into bed with one another when one or both are hurting, and later regret it — but can’t stop themselves from doing it again.

(Peacock/Screenshot)

I don’t expect Stephanie and Theo to go the way of JJ and Eve (a story I would love to forget ever happened!).

Stephanie won’t follow Theo around reminding him of how dire the consequences will be if anyone finds out what they did, assuming they sleep together. So there’s that.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if Stephanie pressures Theo to keep their hypothetical dalliance secret.

Do you think Stephanie and Theo will sleep together? Do you want them to?

Alex supposedly plans to surprise Stephanie after asking Bonnie to babysit Kelsey, which means it’s likely something will happen right before, and then Stephanie will deeply regret it.

This has happened a million times on Days of Our Lives, and I’m not interested in yet another version of it — and worse, if Theo is so burdened by complicated grief that he isn’t thinking clearly, that makes the entire encounter worse.

(Peacock/Screenshot)

Theo isn’t helpless, of course, and it takes two to tango, but when someone is depressed or profoundly sad or angry, it’s harder for them to make good decisions, and the people around them should discourage impulsive behavior, not encourage it for their own reasons.

Plus, Theo’s heart has been broken because Claire cheated on him, so he’s unlikely to be able to accept his own behavior if he helps Stephanie cheat on Alex.

And sure, Stephanie can argue all she wants that Alex was emotionally cheating on her with Joy, but was he? And anyway, since when do two wrongs make a right?

Unless Gus makes good on his threat to leave town and is never seen or heard from again, Javi will be caught in the middle between him and Leo.

We’re also headed for a Brady/Sarah/Xander triangle, one with a likely predetermined ending. The writing has been on the wall ever since Sarah and Brady got together, which is unfortunate.

Maybe if the soap had taken this couple seriously, they would have written a decent story for them, and they wouldn’t have provoked so much hatred online.

Anyway, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-24-26 say that soon after Sarah and Brady reaffirm their love for one another, Sarah will comfort Xander.

There is some happier news on Days of Our Lives during the week of 8-24-26: Chanel’s baby continues to be healthy, and she and Johnny will give their daughter a special name.

And of course, there is plenty of intrigue, with Ari overhearing a troubling secret, Gabi and Philip getting ready for their secret poker game, and Paulina urging Johnny to come clean with Chanel.

But the most exciting Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-24-26 involve Jack.

Yes, he is back! And he brings brand-new versions of Thomas and Charlotte with him. I can’t wait to find out what they’re like and what stories they’ll get into now that they’re slightly older.
