Senator Seriake Dickson, national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has held meetings with party executives in the United Kingdom and Germany during a one-week working visit to Europe.
Dickson announced the engagements in a post on his verified X account on Sunday. He described the trip as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the party’s structures and increase participation among members living outside Nigeria in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
The former Bayelsa State governor noted that the visit came after nearly a year of work building the NDC and resolving internal challenges.
He thanked diaspora executives for their continued support and urged them to step up mobilisation of eligible voters.
“After almost a year building the NDC and resolving its challenges, I decided to embark on a one-week working visit to Europe,” Dickson said.
He called on NDC members in the diaspora, especially those registered to vote, to organise themselves and take an active role in the electoral process.
Dickson also encouraged diaspora chapters to organise conferences and conventions, assuring them that he and other national leaders would strive to attend.
