Eco-friendly cleaning products | The UK’s Eurovision performances | Unravelling isles | Clothes for painting
I have shared the suffering that Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett faced as the veg box was finally cancelled (It’s my self-care tip of the year: I quit our local veg box scheme, and set my mind free, 16 September). But that is only the beginning. I struggle with grimy clothes and soiled dishes as I reluctantly persevere with eco washing and laundry products. As I gallantly scrub at stains and unmoved matter after a very expensive premium eco wash, the only thing that seems clean is my conscience.

• Maybe the solution to Britain’s poor performance at Eurovision (UK to answer for its ‘dismal record’ in Eurovision before committee of MPs, 18 September) is to admit that we, as a nation, are unpopular in Europe and our next, if not annual, entry should be a take on the Millwall FC refrain, sung to the tune of Sailing: “We are Britain / No one likes us / We don’t care”.
