Context: despite popular misconception, Plague Doctor suits were made of thick leather/fabric that covered as much body surface as possible. The fabric parts were oiled up, the herbs in a beak mask might work as something like filter, and basically every detail in a PD costume was for the purpose of infection minimization. The first hazmat suit was invented centuries ago and it saved lives. Yet I don't know why makers of those suits had to ensure Plague Doctors had good drip. I guess, aura does protect prom plague.
