Great Blue Heron makes quick work of its catch. This heron caught several of these fish in the morning. I'm not sure exactly what species of fish this is, but suspect it's some type of smelt or anchovy.

Seems like there's a boom of these fish right now since the terns, cormorants, pelicans, and herons/egrets have been congregating in numbers I've never seen before to feed.
