"You need to get to the station core now!" Epic Pictures has revealed an official US trailer for Free Fall, a Russian sci-fi thriller that is basically a Russian copy of Gravity. This is finally getting a VOD release this month in the US to watch at home anytime, after first opening in Russia back in 2023 and also releasing internationally last year. Cut off from his crew by a devastating proton storm, repairman Max drifts alone through open space and must trust Delta dispatcher Anna to bring him home alive. But survival has never felt so uncertain – and what is she up to anyway? Directed by Oleg Urazaykin, Free Fall stars Aleksandr Kuznetsov as Maksim ("Max"), Anna Chipovskaya as the dispatcher voice Anna, along with Andrey Merzlikin. The big difference from Gravity is there's this other voice guiding him to save himself. Though it sounds like she might be trying to sabotage the station? This version features a British voicecast dubbing it into English for the release. At the least VFX look pretty good – making this actually feel thrilling. Lock in. // Continue Reading ›
