A driver who crashed through a fence and drove into an Etobicoke home late Saturday night has reportedly been arrested for an alcohol-related offence.

In a post on X , Toronto Police said officers responded to the collision in the Kipling Ave.-Kidron Valley Dr. area at around 11:19 p.m.

Cops said the male driver initially fled on foot, but returned to the scene of the crash.

He was taken into custody for an alcohol-related driving offence, CTV News reported.

Police said Kidron Valley Dr. was closed from Kipling Ave. to Hamer Ave. as the investigation continues.

Man lying on road killed after being hit by vehicle

A man who was lying on the road was killed after being run over by a vehicle in North York early Sunday morning.

In a post on X , Toronto Police said cops were called at 1:44 a.m. to the Keele St. and Steeles Ave. W. intersection following reports of an adult male pedestrian lying down on the roadway.

Police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian and that the driver remained at the scene.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Keele St. is closed from The Chimneystack Rd. to York Blvd. and advised drivers to use alternate routes.

Five hospitalized in Hwy. 427 crash

Five people were reportedly hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 427 in Etobicoke early Sunday morning.

The collision happened just before 4 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Hwy. 427, near Hwy. 401, CityNews reported.

The Ontario Provincial Police told the news outlet that four people were taken to trauma centres with serious injuries, with one of them in life-threatening condition.

A fifth person was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, CP24 reported.

Separate stabbings send two to hospital

Two men were injured in a pair of separate Toronto stabbings early Sunday morning.

At around 2:44 a.m., cops in Scarborough were called to the Lawrence Ave E.-Markham Rd. area following reports of an altercation, Toronto Police said in a post on X.

Officers found an adult male with a stab wound. He was taken to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

The second incident happened at around 3:11 a.m. in the Queen West neighbourhood, police said in another social media post .

Cops said they found the injured man in the Queen St. W.-Denison Ave. area.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
