The three ODIs will be played at Chester-le-Street, Headingley and The Oval on September 22, 24 and 27, respectively. The first two ODIs will commence at 12:30pm local time (5pm IST), while the third will be played from 10:30am local time (3pm IST). 

England, continuing their tradition of announcing the playing XI a day before the contest, have confirmed Tom Banton as the opener for the first ODI alongside Ben Duckett. For Sri Lanka, Dasun Shanaka will mark his return to the 50-over format for the first time since January 2024. Kusal Mendis will lead the team, with Charith Asalanka serving as his vice-captain.
