In case you couldn't tell, we are big hunting fans here at OutKick OutDoors.
Whether it's deer season or duck season, we encourage everyone to get out there and give it a shot (responsibly and within the bounds of the law, of course).
I'll be honest with you, though, one animal that I don't see being talked about as much with regard to hunting is a bear, but that is precisely what outdoor enthusiast and conservationist Eva Shockey has been doing her entire life.
WASHINGTON'S GRIZZLY BEAR POWER GRAB IS FINALLY COMING TO A LONG-OVERDUE END
Shockey joined Tomi Lahren on the latest episode of her show, "Tomi Lahren Is Fearless" to discuss how and why she got into bear hunting.
When pressed by Lahren on why she personally hunts bears, the Outdoor Channel star rattled off several.

"Overpopulation, conservation," Shockey says. "In my dad's area, the biologist will say, 'you need to have this many bears that can sustain the wildlife... and so this is how many you can hunt off of there, you need to hunt off there. Otherwise there will be too many.'"
Things like overeating, ruining farmers' crops, and getting too close to residential neighborhoods are other reasons Shockey lists for hunting bears, but one thing she's not a personal fan of is the taste of bear.
"You can," Shockey answered when asked whether she eats bear. "It's flavorful in a way that's not my favorite."
Shockey added that it's edible and is used in sausages, but it's not her particular favorite, so she donates the meat to locals in her area.
