A multi-vehicle crash involving three trucks and a car occurred on Wednesday at Otedola, just before the bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway inward Berger, Lagos State.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) announced the incident on its X account. Officers were quickly dispatched to the scene for rescue and evacuation efforts, with support from the Nigerian Police Force and other emergency responders.

The collision caused a traffic backlog extending to the Toll Gate. LASTMA personnel are managing the flow to limit disruption and restore normal movement.

This latest accident adds to ongoing congestion on the expressway. Motorists are still dealing with the aftermath of a separate multi-vehicle crash involving seven vehicles at Kara Bridge on Tuesday, which has left traffic severely disrupted for over 14 hours amid bridge repairs.

Some drivers have been reported driving against traffic in attempts to bypass the gridlock, further complicating the situation.
