- Notebooks in Gemini are now available to Workspace and Google Education accounts.
- The feature has been live for regular Google users since April.
- Workspace admins must enable Gemini features at the organization level to enable it.
A few months ago, Google expanded NotebookLM’s footprint (before the app was renamed to Gemini Notebook) in the main Gemini interface on the web by adding a direct shortcut. This feature, called “Notebooks in Gemini,” was soon expanded to Gemini’s mobile apps, and has since been available to all free and paid users with a Gmail account.
Now, Google is expanding Notebooks in Gemini to users with business or education accounts under the Google Workspace program. With this expansion, students, educators, and enterprise users can organize their notes and any resources pulled from the internet using notebooks in Gemini and create interactive learning material, reports, slide decks, etc. with that information.
