Shubman Gill scored just one run for Punjab against Chhattisgarh in his Ranji Trophy return ahead of India’s Test series against New Zealand, starting November 19. Ajay Mandal dismissed him after five deliveries. Gill will play the first three New Zealand ODIs before preparing for the Tests. Despite the setback, he has scored 1,095 international runs this year, including four centuries.
