This 1967 Ford Mustang fastback was delivered new to Young Ford in Charlotte, North Carolina, and became the subject of a GT500-style build carried out at Motorcity Grind in Royal Oak, Michigan. Power comes from a supercharged 5.2-liter Predator V8 linked to a Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission and a Currie 9” rear end. Chassis upgrades include a Mustangs to Fear C-6 front subframe, a Chris Alston’s Chassisworks four-link rear setup, QA1 adjustable coilovers, a splined front sway bar, electric power steering, and Wilwood disc brakes. Inside, black leather upholstery is complemented by a roll bar, a MOMO steering wheel, a Hurst shifter, power windows, air conditioning, a retro-style digital media receiver, and Dakota Digital gauges. American Racing 18” wheels, grille-mounted driving lights, and an electronically adjustable exhaust system are among the other highlights. This custom Mustang has been driven fewer than 500 miles since it was completed in late 2024, and it is now offered on dealer consignment with an Elite Marti report and an Illinois title.
The body was stripped and media-blasted during the build, and GT500-style components sourced from Tony D. Branda were added. PPG products were then used to repaint the car in white with silver over-the-top stripes under clearcoat. Details include grille-mounted driving lights, a rear spoiler, side scoops, and chrome bumpers.
A Mustangs to Fear C-6 front subframe was installed along with billet spindles, electrically assisted rack-and-pinion steering, and an adjustable splined front sway bar. QA1 adjustable coilovers were fitted at all four corners, and the live rear axle is supported by a Chris Alston’s Chassisworks four-link setup.
American Racing Shelby Cobra 18” wheels wear faux three-eared spinners and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Braking is handled by Shelby-branded Wilwood calipers with six-piston front and four-piston rear units. A mechanical parking brake is also provided.
A roll bar was added to the cabin, which features Procar-style bolstered front bucket seats and a folding rear bench trimmed in black leather with Shelby-themed embroidery. Siless sound-deadening insulation was applied under the carpets, and an armrest console was installed along with a Hurst billet shifter. Power windows are operated via factory-style window cranks, and additional appointments include air conditioning, billet pedal pads, and a retro-style digital media receiver connected to a trunk-mounted JL Audio JD400/4 amplifier and JBL speakers in the rear bulkhead.
The leather-wrapped MOMO California steering wheel is mounted to an Ididit tilt column and sits ahead of Dakota Digital instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer with inset digital displays as well as gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 475 miles, which represents the distance driven since the build was completed.
An Optima Yellow Top battery is mounted in the trunk along with a fire extinguisher.
The supercharged 5.2-liter Predator V8 crate engine is equipped with a Ford Performance control pack, an Aeromotive Dual Phantom fuel system, and an electronically adjustable stainless-steel exhaust system that incorporates Mustangs to Fear headers and Roush mufflers that have dumps ahead of the rear axle. The selling dealer reports that output is rated at 760 horsepower.
The Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission is equipped with a Quick Time bellhousing, a McLeod dual-disc clutch assembly, Malwood hydraulics, and a Tilton throwout bearing. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Currie 9” rear end with 3.89:1 gearing. Raptor Liner was applied to the undersides.
The Elite Marti report lists factory equipment, colors, and production statistics along with a build date of June 22, 1967.
