Hadouken! The car bonus stage from ‘Street Fighter II’ has been brought to life

Are there any Street Fighter fans around? If so, they’ll be elated to know that the bonus stage car is real. For those unfamiliar with the lore, this Lexus LS400-inspired vehicle comes from the game’s second iteration.

Players could smash it up for extra points, hence its title as the bonus stage car. In anticipation of the upcoming Street Fighter movie, a team of sponsors and tuners brought the sedan to life and presented it at ComplexCon in Los Angeles.

The car is set to be raffled off, and the winner will take it home with $25,400.69 (around P1.6 million) as a bonus prize. Sadly, the sweepstakes is limited to the United States.

The shop behind the car, Vehicle Effects, has not disclosed whether an actual LS400 is underneath that pixelated paint job. Moreover, we don’t know what kind of power this video game car possesses.

However, Vehicle Effects is a team of professionals, having built cars for the Fast and Furious franchise and several superhero movies. And who wouldn’t be tempted by that purple shade?

“Street Fighter fans know this car the second they see it, so we wanted to get every detail right while making it something you could actually drive,” said Dennis McCarthy, head honcho at Vehicle Effects. “And after all the hits this thing has taken, I'd say it had more than earned a break.”

Inside, the classic Street Fighter tagline, “You Win,” has been stamped onto the headrests, as more pixels cover the upholstery. The sound system has also been improved, along with other modifications. The very, very cool cherry on top is the built-in arcade-style coin holder, which actually engages the seat warmers.

In the US, raffle entries will close on November 18, 2026, and the winner will likely be announced shortly after. Hopefully its new owner is kinder than your go-to Street Fighter character.
