It's an internal feeling of absolute panic. We ask for a 'slight trim'; they grab the scissors and start chopping off everything like this is the last haircut they'll give in their lives. Please, hairdressers, stop! We like our hair long; we just want to get rid of the dryer parts, not get a bob.
During bad hair days, we sometimes wish to cut it all off. The hair doesn't stay where it should, we can't comb it, gel does absolutely nothing, it looks dry or opaque… It would be way easier to just go bald. We're kidding. We DO NOT want to go bald.
If you have curly hair, you definitely struggle with humidity and frizzy hair, as I do. We're not trying to look like Mufasa from The Lion King; we just want our curls defined, with the right amount of volume to look fun, exotic, and like we just came back from a vacation in Hawaii. Looking like the Yeti is not the style we're going for, but our hair just does whatever it wants. Every curly-haired girly has tried to straighten their hair, and many times we have actually done it. It's just easier to keep in check, but eventually we regret it, and do everything in our might to gain our curls back.
We don't even have to get into the issue of dealing with hair dye. We bleach it, we go blonde, or throw some bright colors there to make it interesting, and then we realize we are actually going bald by accident. That's when we wish someone had stopped us from playing with our hair too much, and the bad hair days go up by 100%. We need to find a new way to entertain ourselves. We should just go to a pottery class or start gardening. Gardening doesn't mess with our hair, that's for sure.
The thing is, we have already straightened, cut, and bleached our hair enough times this year, so we can definitely laugh it off and just blame it on our hairdressers instead of our own silliness. While we let our hair recover, we can browse through some hairy memes.
