Cozy games that are all about helping your community are ones that I often enjoy spending my time in! Littlehaven is one such game, where you are very handy person, who has moved to a small town. There isn’t much stress or demand on you, but you can spend your days walking around and improving the entire village.

Becoming the village designer seems like a quirky task. Can you imagine a town having an individual in charge of adding a bunch of different community focused areas to the town, for everyone to enjoy? It sounds like a dream! In your day to day, you will be shaping the village, either through making your own decisions or listening to the people of the village, who do have thoughts about things that they would like in specific areas.

When it comes to the actual placement of things in Littlehaven, you are able to rotate, scale, recolor and tweak furniture – it doesn’t sit stuck to a grid with specific placements that need to be met. Instead, you are able to move stuff around or change a pre-set to feel more like the town that you are trying to create. As you change the world, the vibe of the town also changes.

From the humble beginnings of a small town, more residents start to arrive, using the spaces that you have created and becoming one with the village that you have been working through. There is also history to discover, through these individuals. It’s an interesting, well-rounded game with a lot of detail put into the story and the world around it.

I got the chance to play Littlehaven at Gamescom, where I very much liked the sound of the game and it’s community. There isn’t a set release date, but you can wishlist the game on Steam.
