Sabah FK didn’t even exist in 2016.
The Azerbaijani club was founded in 2017, and less than a decade later they’ve gone from having absolutely no history to becoming champions of their country and reaching the Champions League.

I found their rise pretty fascinating, especially because outside Azerbaijan I don’t think many football fans really know how Sabah got here.

So I researched their entire journey and made a documentary about how a nine-year-old football club managed to reach the biggest competition in European football:

For me, these are the kinds of stories that make European football so interesting.

Would be interested to hear what people think of Sabah’s rise and whether they can actually make an impact in the Champions League.
